The OMEGA Pavilion has officially opened in San Babila, Milan, as part of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. This venue highlights OMEGA’s role as the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, a position it has held since 1932.
Visitors to the Pavilion can engage with various interactive installations that showcase the technology and processes behind sports timekeeping. The opening ceremony featured a ribbon-cutting by OMEGA’s President and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann, alongside Kirsty Coventry from the International Olympic Committee and Alain Zobrist from OMEGA Timing.
The Pavilion provides an immersive experience, including displays of Olympic history, athlete profiles, and technology exhibits. Notable attractions include a virtual reality bobsleigh experience and AI-generated photos for visitors in action poses.
OMEGA’s timekeeping equipment is also on display, featuring items such as the electronic starting pistol and the Scan’O’Vision ULTIMATE photofinish camera. The Pavilion is open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, with free admission for all visitors.
